The Hawai�i Insurance Division said it�s received numerous complaints from senior citizens about American Legacy Group Legal Plan and its administrator, Daniel Y. Doi.

The division has initiated a legal action against the firm and Doi for failing to provide legal services and refunds to some of it�s customers.
It said American Legacy and Doi made little or no effort to work with consumers who had complaints. The division has received eight consumer complaints against Doi�s company, and the Better Business Bureau of Hawaii gave it an �F� rating.
The Insurance Division last week outlined the allegations against Doi in an order titled, �Statement of Charges, Notice of Intent to Impose Fines and Issue Cease and Desist.� The order noted that Doi was issued a subpoena in December but failed to appear.
