Seminary president at Waikīkī Lutheran church

The Rev. Phyllis Anderson, president of Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary — and the first woman to serve in that capacity at any Lutheran seminary in the United States — will deliver the sermon tomorrow at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Waikīkī.

Services are conducted at 10 a.m. in the Queen Kapi'olani Hotel, second floor. The public is invited.

COSTCO TO START SELLING KOSHER POULTRY PRODUCTS

Costco Iwilei, 525 Alakawa St., will begin carrying Empire Kosher Chicken leg quarters and rock cornish hens for a limited time, according to Chabad of Hawaii. The sales will be on a trial run, to determine community interest. For additional information, call 735-8161.

JEWISH SENIORS TO HEAR ABOUT MED SIDE EFFECTS

Concerns about medications and therapies that can create adverse side effects for seniors will be discussed next week in a Hawaii Jewish Seniors presentation titled "Beers And Better Geriatric Medicine" at Temple Emanu-El.
