‘First Friday’ tied to Chinese New Year

Advertiser Staff

This month’s “First Friday” event will feature Downtown galleries and studios opening their doors for an evening celebrating art coinciding with Choy Cheng, a traditional lion dance blessing.

Several martial arts clubs will be roaming the streets of Chinatown in an early celebration of Chinese New Year, the Year of the Tiger.
Confirmed participants include The ARTS at Marks Garage, Black Cat Studio, Louis Pohl Gallery, Hawaii State Art Museum and Pegge Hopper Gallery.
Walk maps available at www.artsatmarks.com.
