THERAPISTS MAKE MUSIC

TREATING PATIENTS THROUGH TUNES

Sounding Joy Music Therapy Inc., a local nonprofit, uses music as a form of treatment for people with disabilities. Qualified therapists use musical elements (sound, rhythm, melody and harmony) and instruments; most clients are autistic. Get more information at www.SoundingJoyMT.org.

PacificNetwork.tv was there when Dr. Reiner Haus of Germany spoke to Hawai'i Pacific University students on music therapy, observing role-playing by the students. For more video, visit www.PacificNetwork.tv.
