The National Weather Service says surf will be 7 to 10 feet today and tonight. The advisory remains in effect until 6 tomorrow night.

Cheplic said as of 2 p.m. today, there were 215 verbal warnings issued for District 1, which includes Ala Moana and Waikiki Beach. Lifeguards also had to make 11 assists using personal watercraft and four rescues.

Meanwhile, it will be a mostly sunny day with isolated windward and mauka showers.

Highs will be 81 to 86 degrees and trades 15 to 20 mph.
