Mutual Publishing celebrates the release of its new book, "The Polynesian Tattoo Today" by Tricia Allen, with a tattoo contest and book signing Saturday at Barnes & Noble Ala Moana.

Sign-in for the contest begins at 7:30 p.m. Allen, along with select tattooists, will autograph books until 9 p.m., when the contest begins. Contestants can enter one of four categories: traditional Polynesian tattoo, tribal tattoo, non-Polynesian tattoo and color tattoo. Judging will be by a panel of expert tattooists. Winners will receive Barnes & Noble gift cards.
