Public input sought for Wailuku Town redevelopment

Advertiser Staff

Public input is sought to determine how Wailuku town can evolve into a downtown core of commerce, culture and entertainment.

Maui County's Department of Planning on Thursday said the goal for the project area is to create a market-based plan to retain, grow and attract high-quality development, as well as appropriate businesses and new investment to the Wailuku Redevelopment Area.

To submit comments, complete a survey at www.mauicounty.gov/wailukutownsurvey by May 7.

Development of the revitalization plan will be coordinated by nationally renowned planning group Progressive Urban Management Associates (PUMA).
