Hall of Honor entry forms available online

Advertiser Staff

Nomination forms for the 28th class of the Hawai'i High School Hall of Honor are available through downloading on the Hawai'i High School Athletic Association Web site at www.sportshigh.com.

Seniors who are participating in any sport sanctioned by the HHSAA are eligible.

The members of the Class of 2010 will be chosen by an independent selection committee that will focus primarily on athletic achievement, but also consider academic performance, participation in extra-curricular activities, involvement in community, sportsmanship, character and versatility in sports.

Forms must be submitted to The Honolulu Advertiser's Sports Department at 605 Kapi'olani Blvd., Honolulu, Hawai'i 96813, and received by April 30. They may be mailed or hand-delivered.

The Hall of Honor, established in 1982 by Nissan Motor Corp. and maintained by the HHSAA, will induct 12 student-athletes at the HHSAA Foundation Hall of Honor banquet at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel on June 6. Each inductee also will receive a $2,000 college scholarship.

For information, call the HHSAA office at (808) 587-4495.
