The Pineapple Room by Alan Wong, on the third floor of Macy's at Ala Moana, is getting a facelift and a tweaked but not entirely changed menu next month.

The popular 10-year-old restaurant will celebrate with "Renew," a stand-up pupu party, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 11. The menu will focus even more than before on dishes inspired by plantation-era times.
