Moanalua tops Pearl City, 28-25

Tahje Canyon rushed 33 times for 202 yards and two touchdowns, and caught the go-ahead 40-yard touchdown pass from Adam Francisco in the fourth quarter as host Moanalua beat Pearl City, 28-25, last night.

Moanalua improved to 4-1 overall and 4-0 in the O'ahu Interscholastic Association White Division. Pearl City fell to 1-3 and 1-2.

Canyon scored on a 4-yard run in the second period and a 65-yarder in the third.

'Aiea's Kekoa Thompson hauled in six passes for 181 yards, including TD catches of 44, 40 and 71 yards. Michael Williams added a 30-yard scoring catch.
