Tailgating is one of Hawai'i's most popular pastimes. Hot dogs, fried chicken, barbecued ribs, 'ahi poke, tofu poke, 101 different musubi, 102 mac salads — from teriyaki sticks to foie gras and tiramisu, menus abound on the asphalt outside Aloha Stadium.

The 2009 University of Hawai'i Warriors football season began with yesterday's game, so get ready for the next one! Get in the kitchen, get to the market or call in your order to one of many restaurants that cater pre-made tailgate platters. This is a tradition that thousands of fans embrace whether at the game or watching from home in Hawai'i or abroad.

How serious is tailgating to local folks? Very. We love our Warriors and we love to eat. That's why we decided to produce a show for people who just can't get enough of tailgating and for those who won't believe the elaborate spreads and the effort that goes into creating a two-hour party held in a parking lot with hundreds of other fans.
