Advertiser Staff

Two men were charged today in connection with the robbery of two elderly women employees at a store on Pensacola Street Wednesday.

Grant Onogi, 46, was charged with two counts of second-degree robbery and two counts of kidnapping. His bail was set at $50,000.
Prosecutors also charged Lance Nakada, 39, with one count of second-degree robbery and kidnapping. His bail was set at $75,000.
The two men are accused of robbing two women, ages 70 and 71, in the LaParisienne store at about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. One of the women told police she was grabbed by the collar by one of the suspects, forced to sit and then punched in the face.
Both suspects fled the store, but were later arrested. One of the women said she recognized Onogi as a janitor at a nearby business, according to a police affidavit.
