Thieves steal 9 laptop computers from high school

Nine Lenovo laptop computers valued at $4,491 were stolen from a Kau High School classroom over the weekend, Hawaii County police said.

Police say the classroom was broken into sometime between 4:30 p.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. Monday.

Police ask anyone with information about the case to call the police department nonemergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
