David "Kawika" H. Abellira, 54, of Honolulu, died Sept. 25, 2009. Born in Los Angeles. A Hawaiian cultural weaver and U.S. Army veteran. Survived by companion, Pearl Kepoo; daughter, Kanoelani Ragsdale; parents, Leilani and Ross Gilfoy; brothers, Reno, Remi and Zeno, and Bernie and Jose Dancel; sisters, Zena Mattiano, Renee Church, Caron Aquino and Lyda Abellira; two grandchildren. Betty Jean Alonzo, 65, of Waipahu, died Oct. 14, 2009. Born in Richmond, Va. A retired waitress.
