NFL: Seahawks' QB Hasselbeck ’very doubtful’ for Sunday

RENTON, Wash. — Matt Hasselbeck’s broken rib hasn’t gotten any better this week, so the Seahawks quarterback is “very doubtful” to return Sunday at undefeated Indianapolis.
Seattle coach Jim Mora made that assessment after today’s practice. Mora said his three-time Pro Bowl passer will travel with the team Saturday morning.
That is more than he could say about Walter Jones.
The nine-time Pro Bowl left tackle almost certainly will not make his season debut Sunday. Jones has slowed his attempt to get back from two knee surgeries since last winter.
The Seahawks (1-2) will have recent Dolphins castoff Brandon Frye at left tackle protecting backup quarterback Seneca Wallace’s blind side for the second consecutive game.
