A woman was critically injured in a single-vehicle crash last night along Kaukonahua Road near Waialua.

The incident was reported at about 8:30 p.m. near the S-turn, where numerous fatal traffic accidents have occurred over the years. Police said the woman�s car crashed into a utility pole.
The woman was taken to The Queen�s Medical Center in critical condition, police said. There were no reports of other injuries.
Police have closed Kaukonahua Road from Wilikina Drive to Thompson Corner while they investigate the incident.
