Station Casinos posts $445M third-quarter loss

Associated Press

LAS VEGAS — Private casino operator Station Casinos says it lost $455.4 million during the third quarter in part because of charges related to its pending bankruptcy.

The Las Vegas-based company said Monday that it had $370.7 million in costs tied to its Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization.
The loss for the period ending Sept. 30 compared with losses of $23.4 million during the same quarter last year.
Station Casinos operates 18 casinos in the Las Vegas area. It filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in July and asked a federal bankruptcy judge last month for a four-month extension to submit a reorganization plan.
