Remnants of Hawaii Superferry operations auctioned off
Advertiser Staff
More than 300 people turned out to bid on a multitude of practical and not-so-practical items once used by the Hawaii Superferry at a four-hour auction today at Piers 19 and 20.
Some 260 lots were put up for bid, from computers, printers and other office equipment to heavy-duty items like forklifts, vehicle dollies and Bobcats.
The bidding on most lots went quickly, with many buyers walking away with pinch-me deals on otherwise pricey items.
Mary Koanui, 47, of Waimanälo bought three extra-large dog kennels, normally $275 each, for $75 apiece.
“It was a super deal,” she said.
The auction was administered by Pacific Bid.
