Aquarium marks changing of Isle seasons at sunset
| |||
The Waikiki Aquarium celebrates the changing of the seasons through traditional chant, hula and mo'olelo (storytelling) during a special sunset cultural observance, 6-8 p.m. today from a site just 'ewa of the aquarium grounds. The free event, Seasons and the Sea, will officially mark the change from ho'olilo (wet season) to kau wela (hot or warm-dry season) as the sun sets into the crown of Pu'u o Kapolei, an occurrence that happens only once a year.
