PU'UNENE — The Maui Humane Society board of directors has elected new officers.
Candy Aluli was elected chairwoman and Paul Davis, first vice chairman.
Immediate past chairman Anthony Levoy was selected second vice chairman; Kevin Yoshida, treasurer; and Jennifer Rappenecker, secretary.
The shuffle in officers came in the wake of the society's annual meeting April 6 during which members of a raucous crowd of nearly 200 criticized Levoy and agency chief executive officer Jocelyn Bouchard for their management of animal shelter operations.
Other directors are Lynne Bear, David Cain, Cindy Pestana and Coralie Willett.
