DAYTON, Ohio — Oklahoma State's Byron Eaton hurt his let shoulder in a collision with Pittsburgh's DeJuan Blair in the first half of their second-round NCAA tournament game Sunday, temporarily sending both stars to the bench.
Eaton, the Cowboys' point guard, stumbled as he dribbled toward the basket and fell forward, with his left shoulder slamming hard into Blair's left leg near the knee. Both players rolled on the floor in pain, and the game was stopped for several minutes.
Eaton went to the bench for less than a minute and returned. Blair, with blood specks on his white uniform, went to the locker room and returned with his left wrist wrapped.
