There is a good possibility of more rain for O'ahu tomorrow, but things should clear up later in the week.

O'ahu saw plenty of wet stuff today, with flood warnings and advisories. Some areas received more than 4 inches of rain, the National Weather Service said. In the 12 hours ending at 2:45 p.m. today, Maunawili had 4.8 inches; parts of Manoa saw 3.3 inches; the Bellows area had nearly 3.5 inches, and Kunia 2.11 inches.

Forecasters expect that isolated heavy showers could continue tonight, caused by a low-pressure system that should begin to break up tomorrow.

Scattered showers and light sea-land breezes are expected into next week, with sunnier skies and regular trade winds beginning to creep back by Thursday.

The Honolulu Fire Department responded to three reports of flooding in the Date Street area near Kapahulu Avenue this morning.

An HFD spokesman described all the situations as minor. He said firefighters had to pump water from a home on Palani Avenue from 5 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. but that the damage was not serious.

Ponding water was a problem on several areas of the H-1 Freeway including the east- and west-bound directions in the area of Kunia offramp and on H-1 west-bound by the School Street offramp.

Road crews had to deal with a tree that came down on the Kailua-bound lanes of the Pali Highway early in the afternoon.

The weather slowed traffic all over the island.
