HAU'ULA
Open house today for city employment center

A new one-stop employment center operated by the city will hold an open house today from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Hau'ula Community Center, 54-010 Kukuna Road.

The center, which offers free job-seeking advice, is run by the city and has been operating since July.

"We are reaching out to Ko'olauloa coast communities such as Hau'ula, La'ie and Kahuku, to make sure job-seekers can learn about opportunities that are available," Mayor Mufi Hannemann said in a news release.

The Oahu WorkLinks center, established by the WorkHawaii Division of the city Department of Community Services, is staffed by an employment consultant who can help with career planning, skill assessments and resume preparation.

The center is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. except holidays. Its phone number is 293-2626.
