Hawaii weather: A few showers likely again today

Advertiser Staff

Today's weather will follow a typical trade wind patter, with low clouds and showers mainly favoring windward and mauka areas, the National Weather Service said.

Cloudy skies and showers associated with a cold front are expected to push across the island chain from the north on Thursday, forecasters said.

A surface low pressure area moving down to a position just north of the islands will likely bring more unsettled weather to the state this weekend.

Here's a closer look at what to expect for the remainder of the work week:

Today: Isolated showers before noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 81. Northeast wind around 18 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
