Pedestrian crossing street critically injured by car

Advertiser Staff

A man was critically injured last night when he was hit by a car while crossing North School Street in Kalihi.

The man, who appeared to be in his 40s, was struck as he tried to cross North School Street near Pohaku Street about 6:30 p.m. The man was taken to The Queen's Medical Center in critical condition.

Police closed parts of North School Street while they investigated.

The accident happened about three-quarters of a mile from where a 54-year-old woman was struck and killed by a Roberts Hawaii school bus Monday morning, at North School Street and Gulick Avenue.
