The Building Industry Association of Hawaii is seeking more entries for its annual Parade of Homes, a showcase of what residential developers are building around the state.

The deadline for entries is June 19. The free public event, in its 53rd year, will be held Oct. 9-11 and 16-18.
Developers and contractors may enter single-family and multi-family homes, town homes, high-rises, units in vacation ownership projects and condominium conversions.
Though there are awards issued by the trade association to developers for categories of work, the event is largely a marketing tool. This year’s Parade of Homes theme is “It’s the Right Time to Buy.”
Developers that have already entered the 2009 BIA Parade of Homes include D.R. Horton’s Schuler Division, Gentry Homes Ltd., Haseko Homes Inc. and Stanford Carr Development LLC.
