NFL: Patriots DL Wilfork seeks ’comfortable’ contract
Associated Press
BOLTON, Mass. — New England Patriots defensive lineman Vince Wilfork made an appearance at the team’s charity golf tournament even as he continues to hold out for a new contract.
The nose tackle is in the final year of a six-year deal he signed as a rookie.
Wilfork did not show up for the Patriots’ voluntary organized team activities last week. He did not speak to reporters at Monday’s charity event, but he talked on a local radio show broadcasting live from the golf course. Wilfork told WEEI that he is not looking for the “best contract there is,” but one that will make him “comfortable.”
