Baseball Hall of Fame wants mementos from 25-inning game

AUSTIN, Texas — The baseball Hall of Fame wants a few pieces of Texas Longhorns history.
The Hall of Fame has asked for Texas pitcher Austin Wood's hat and second baseman Travis Tucker's bat to commemorate the Longhorns' 25-inning 3-2 NCAA regional win over Boston College last weekend. It was the longest game in NCAA history.
Wood, a senior left-hander, pitched 12 1/3 hitless innings in relief. Tucker drove in the winning run in his 12th at-bat.
Texas says the Hall of Fame also wants the umpire's scorecard and officials are trying to find it.
A Hall of Fame representative is supposed to pick up the items Sunday.
