Movie producer Chris Lee will discuss Oahu studio

Advertiser Staff

Movie producer Chris Lee, founder of the University of Hawai'i Academy of Creative Media, will be the featured speaker at the West Oahu Economic Development Association luncheon July 29 at the Ihilani Resort.

Lee, who has produced and overseen such films as "As Good As It Gets," "Jerry Maguire" and "Superman Returns," will share his thoughts on how a West O'ahu high-tech film studio and special effects facility developed for students could be a creative media catalyst for the motion picture industry.

The luncheon cost is $40 for association members, $50 for non-members and guests, and $60 at the door. A WOEDA-member table for 10 is $400. For reservations, call 842-1600 by July 27.
