Road reopens after Wahiawa traffic fatality

A man was killed this morning when the car he was driving struck a utility pole in Wahiawa.

Bryan Cheplic of the city’s Emergency Services Division said the man, believed to be in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:08 a.m.
The crash happened shortly before 10. Cheplic said the man was apparently the only occupant of the car.
California Avenue was shut down between Nanea Avenue and Uuku Street as police investigated. California Avenue was reopened around 1 p.m.
