A free lecture on the history and experiences of Chinese in Hawai'i will be given today in the old Archives building on the 'Iolani Palace grounds.

The lecture, "China and the Pacific: Views from the Deck of a Junk," will be given by historian Hans Van Tilburg at noon and is open to the public.

The event is sponsored by the Historic Hawai'i Foundation and Friends of 'Iolani Palace.
