The city Emergency Medical Services Division will accept applications for the position of emergency medical technician I recruit beginning Sunday.

Applications will be accepted online only from Sunday through Jan. 31. Job information can be found at www.honolulu.gov/hr.

The job pays $3,104 a month. Applicants must have a nationally recognized CPR certification, high school diploma or equivalent and a driver's license.

Applicants will take a written test March 21. Those who pass the written test will be interviewed in person. Those who pass the oral interview process will be scheduled for a physical examination and suitability-for-hire evaluation.

Those who are accepted as recruits will undergo six months of paid training before being assigned to an Emergency Medical Services ambulance unit.
