A word to the lovin' wise: There are just 25 days left until Valentine's Day, Feb. 14. If your plans involve food or flowers, better get those reservations and orders in now. Most restaurants book up weeks in advance, especially those with a "romantic" reputation. Many will be offering special deals this year to entice customers at a time when we're holding our wallets close, so shop around. As for flowers, those red roses that make so frequent an appearance on Valentine's Day get scarcer and pricier as the day gets closer. If you don't want to spend the day in the doghouse, make a plan, then pick up the phone or click on the Web.
