Residents of Wailuku, Kahului and Spreckelsville will see and hear more aircraft traffic over their neighborhoods this weekend as flight patterns are adjusted to accommodate lighting and electrical work on the airfield at Kahului Airport.

The state Department of Transportation said Runway 2/20 will be closed from 12:30 to 8:30 a.m. tomorrow and Sunday. During those hours, the modified flight patterns will mean increased air traffic over the residential areas near the airport.
