More than 1,700 gallons of wastewater overflowed from a manhole fronting 124 Olomana Lane yesterday and entered Pau'oa Stream that connects to Nu'uanu Stream above Liliu'okalani Gardens.

Although the heavy rains last night probably flushed the wastewater discharge into the harbor, the public is advised to stay out of Nu'uanu Stream as it travels through the gardens, the state Department of Health Clean Water Branch said today.
