Journey, famous for power ballads like "Don't Stop Believing," "Any Way You Want It," "Faithfully" and "Open Arms," is coming to Hawai'i at the end of March to play concerts on O'ahu, Maui and the Big Island, Tom Moffatt of Tom Moffatt Productions announced yesterday.
The band's popularity is probably at its highest since the 1970s and 1980s, when Steve Perry was in the group. The renewed interest of late has been sparked by Filipino sensation Arnel Pineda, who debuted as group's lead singer last February.
The band discovered him on a YouTube video of Pineda doing Journey covers.
Journey will perform March 24 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center Amphitheater, March 26 at the Blaisdell Arena and March 28 at the Waikoloa Bowl on the Big Island.
Tickets for all three shows go on sale Feb. 27 and can be bought at www.ticketmaster.com.

PARTON LEFT OUT OF 'HANNAH' MOVIE
OXON HILL, Md. — It's all over the Internet that Dolly Parton will be in the upcoming "Hannah Montana" movie, but Parton says she didn't make the cut.
According to Parton, producers had asked her early on if she would revisit her recurring TV role as Aunt Dolly in the film, due out April 10, starring teen sensation Miley Cyrus.
"I said I would love to! I assumed that they were gonna be writing me a part," she said in a recent interview.
But her character was not included in the script.
Though she's disappointed, the 63-year-old singer called doing the TV show "probably the best move" she's ever made, since it introduced her to a new generation.
