No. 7 Syracuse stays unbeaten

TAMPA, Fla. — Rick Jackson scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds last night, helping No. 7 Syracuse remain unbeaten with an 85-73 victory over No. 10 Florida in the SEC/Big East Invitational.

Andy Rautins had 18 points and Wes Johnson finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Orange (9-0). Reserve Kris Joseph contributed 12 points and 10 rebounds against the Gators (8-1).

Syracuse led most of the game, but Florida stayed close by making 12 3-pointers in 30 attempts.

Kenny Boynton made five 3s and led the Gators with 20 points.

NO. 12 MICHIGAN STATE 88, OAKLAND (MICH.) 57

Draymond Green finished with 19 points and 12 rebounds, and the host Spartans (8-2) raced to a 44-21 halftime lead before cruising past the Golden Grizzlies (4-5) at East Lansing, Mich.

NO. 19 CINCINNATI 63, MIAMI (OHIO) 59

Lance Stephenson scored 17 points, and fellow freshman Cashmere Wright added 12, helping the host Bearcats (6-1) hold off the RedHawks (2-7) in Cincinnati.

NO. 1 CONNECTICUT 80, HARTFORD 45

Maya Moore scored 22 points to lead three teammates in double figures as the host Huskies (8-0) routed the Hawks (5-2) at Storrs, Conn. for their 47th straight victory.

NO. 16 OKLAHOMA 59, ARMY 46

Nyeshia Stevenson scored 17 points and the visiting Sooners (7-2) used a 13-0 run for a 58-44 lead in beating the Black Knights (5-5) at West Point, N.Y.

NO. 17 VANDERBILT 75, QUINNIPIAC 74

Tiffany Clarke sank two free throws with 6 seconds left for a 75-71 lead as the visiting Commodores (9-1) rallied past the Bobcats (2-5) at Hamden, Conn.

NO. 23 KANSAS 81, MISSOURI-KANSAS CITY 53

Krysten Boogaard scored 19 points and Danielle McCray had 18 to power the host Jayhawks (6-2) past the Kangaroos (3-6) at Lawrence, Kan.

TOWSON 67, NO. 25 MARYLAND 55

Shanae Baker-Brice scored 25 points and the host Tigers (5-4) never trailed after taking a 24-23 lead in the first half to upset the Terrapins (8-2) at Towson, Md.
