Water has been restored to six apartment buildings on Kamoku Street that were left without service after a watermain broke this morning.

The break to an 8-inch main at 520 Kamoku St. was reported at 4:20 a.m. Police closed Kamoku from Hihiwai Street to the front of Iolani School while Board of Water Supply crews repaired the main.
Water was restored at 1 p.m., but the road remains closed while workers backfill the hole and clean up the road. No schools were affected by the break, BWS said.
