Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Festival is Saturday

The 27th annual Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Festival is scheduled for noon to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Kapiolani Park. Admission is free.
The festival features well-known artists as Dennis Kamakahi, Makana, Ken Makuakane, Ozzie Kotani, John Cruz, Jeff Peterson, Bobby Moderow, LT Smooth, David Kahiapo and Keale.
Also featured at the festival will be island crafters, local food, a guitar exhibit by Taylor Guitars, an ukulele exhibit by Kanile’a Ukuleles, festival merchandise and other displays and exhibits.
A drawing for a free trip for two to attend the Kaua’i Slack Key Guitar Festival, Nov. 15 at the Hilton Kauai Beach Resort & Spa will take place.
The Grammy Foundation and Musicare will be present at the festival with their own booth to inform and assist musicians.
The festival is made possible by a grant from the Office of Hawaiian Affairs.
