Here's your chance to shred confidential papers

Advertiser Staff

The Hawaii chapter of the Better Business Bureau is teaming up with Access Information Management and Shred-It to sponsor a "Tear It Up" session at several locations on Saturday, Sept. 20, to help people and businesses prevent identity theft.

Everyone is invited to bring up to three boxes/bags of confidential documents including check stubs, bank statements, and credit card offers, which will be shredded for free.

In addition, BBB staff will be on hand to provide information and answer questions on how businesses and consumers can protect themselves from identity theft.

The Tear It Up sessions will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at:

• McKinley High School, 1039 S. King St., Honolulu

• Mililani High School , 95-1200 Meheula Parkway, Mililani Town

• Castle High School Auditorium Parking Area, 45-386 Kaneohe Bay Drive, Kailua

• Access Information Management Kailua-Kona Warehouse, 74-5599 Pawai Place, Kailua-Kona
