Mohouli and Kumukoa intersection getting traffic light

Big Island motorists will have a new traffic signal at the intersection of Mohouli and Kumukoa streets in Hilo starting next Monday.
Installation of the traffic signal started in March of this year.
The construction costs are estimated at $1.6 million.
Mohouli Street is a key link between the growing mauka suburbs and downtown Hilo, the University of Hawai`i-Hilo and major commercial areas.
