'LAS VEGAS TENORS'
"An Evening With the Las Vegas Tenors," a hit attraction at the Las Vegas Hilton Concert Theatre, will make its Honolulu premiere at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 15 at the Pikake Theater, Blaisdell Center. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
The trio — composed of Bill Fayne, Bobby Black and Teddy Davey — specializes in what it calls "popera," an eclectic genre that taps the classics, opera and Broadway.
Tickets: $75 (reserved seats), with a portion of the proceeds benefiting HUGS, the family services charity; on sale Saturday at Ticketmaster locations, 877-750-4400, www.ticketmaster.com.
HOT CLUB RETURNS
Gypsy jazz ensemble Hot Club of Hulaville — David Chiorini on contrabass, Pierre Grill on accordion and piano, Duane Padilla on violin and Sonny Silva on guitar — offer a concert titled "An American in Paris," a tribute to George Gershwin.
The concert, at 8 p.m. Nov. 1 at Mamiya Theatre, also features vocalist Ginai, trumpeter DeShannon Higa and other guests. Hot Club of Hulaville last played a sold-out concert at the Doris Duke Theatre in August.
