DENVER The Denver Broncos signed free-agent fullback Andrew Pinnock today to shore up their injury-riddled backfield.

Pinnock is a sixth-year pro who was released Sept. 1 by San Diego, where he spent the last five seasons.

In 42 career games, including three starts, Pinnock has 18 rushes for 56 yards, four receptions for 31 yards and three kickoff returns for 74 yards.

Tailbacks Michael Pittman, Andre Hall and Ryan Torain have all gone on injured reserve this season, and second-year pro Selvin Young has missed several games with a groin tear.

The Broncos also signed receiver Jayson Foster to the practice squad.
