Surfing: Second event in Vans Triple Crown of Surfing postponed
Advertiser Staff
The second event in the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing is postponed today due to a lack of quality waves at Sunset Beach.
Today was the first day that the O'Neill World Cup of Surfing men's contest and Roxy Pro women's contest could have started.
Contest officials expect several swells to arrive on O'ahu's North Shore this week, and the competition could run as soon as tomorrow.
The first Triple Crown event was completed last week at Hale'iwa Ali'i Beach. Tahiti's Michel Bourez won the men's contest, and Honolulu's Carissa Moore won the women's contest.
