The Rev. FRANCIS J. SCHELLEMANS, 86, of Honolulu, died Nov. 5, 2008. Born in Liezele, Belgium. Ordained in 1949 in Tremelo, Belgium. Came to Hawai'i in November 1950 and served in parishes on Maui, Hawai'i and Honolulu. Joined the U.S. Army in 1967, serving in South Carolina, Okinawa, Vietnam, Germany, Texas, Korea. Served as a contract priest in Germany and San Antonio, Texas VA Hospital. Returned to Hawai'i in 1995; retired in 2001. Survived by family members, Wilfred, Bertha, Adeline, Louis, Mary and Theo.
