A Norfolk Island pine that was harvested from the front yard of a home in Aiea this morning will be installed on the front law of Honolulu Hale on Thursday.

The tree belonged to Marie Rose Perry, whose father gave her the tree, a city news release said.

Perry's son-in-law, Sterling Ohia, is a former motorcycle police officer who has escorted the city's Christmas trees to Honolulu Hale in the past.
