Whitmore Village stabbing suspect charged

Prosecutors today charged a Whitmore Village man with stabbing another man Saturday night.
Roberto Almazan, 31, of Aheahe Avenue, accused of attempted second-degree murder, is being held in lieu of $200,000 bail pending an initial appearance tomorrow at District Court. Almazan allegedly stabbed and slashed another man, 47, with a knife at about 8:30 p.m. at a Whitmore Village location.
The victim suffered serious body injuries, according to police.
Almazan was arrested at an Ehoeho Avenue apartment in Whitmore Village at 9:10 p.m. Saturday.
