Coinciding with the upcoming 67th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, film historian and tour guide Steven Fredrick will host a special two-part movie and guided tour program tied to World War II.

Fredrick, known for his collection of rare Hawai'i-themed films, has assembled motion picture images and historic sights that reflect Hawai'i during the wartime era, coupled with a Downtown walking tour of historic sites.

"It's a mixed plate of film comedy and historic tragedy," said Fredrick, who is sharing original film prints, dating back 60 to 65 years. "Some of these films have not been seen in Hawai'i since World War II."

• A screening of "Hawaii During World War II: The Movies and the Music of the 1940s," at 7 p.m. Dec. 3, at the VIP Screening Room. Cost: $10. Call for location.
