Election 2008 Final Results

 •  Voters didn't turn out in droves as expected

Voters at Farrington High School brought their own youth movement to the polls. Despite a record number of registered voters, the turnout was less than that in the previous general election. In fact, Tuesday’s turnout was the fourth lowest percentage of registered voters to cast a ballot since statehood.

Here are final results of Tuesday's Hawai'i general election. Voter turnout was 65.9 percent statewide, 66.0 percent on O'ahu, 67.7 percent on the Big Island, 61.1 percent in Maui County and 68.2 percent in Kaua'i County.
