Advertiser Staff

Two Moloka'i men were killed and a third man was critically injured during a two-vehicle crash on Molokai about 11 p.m. last night.

Maui County Police officers said Parez Kahikina, 51, and Ronald Kalilikane were killed when they were ejected from the vehicle they were traveling in.

The third man, 31, was flown to Maui in critical condition.

Police said the crash occurred near the intersection of Farrington and Puupeelehua avenues in Hoolehua.

It is not yet known whether alcohol, drugs or speed were factors in the crash, police said.

The deaths were the 18th and 19th traffic fatalities in Maui County so far this year compared with 20 for the same period last year.
